Trick No.1. Part of Speech transition
This trick will help You to simplify the process of making ByHeart vocabularies.
As You know every item in a vocabulary pertains to a certain part of speech.
You can set this information by means of the drop-down list box in the right
bottom corner of the main window. Usually You should specify the part of speech
for the items of both a native and a foreign languages. But this is not
necessary. In fact, You can setup the part of speech information
for an items of only one language (foreign or native, no matter). After doing that
You apply the trick to affect the opposite part of a vocabulary. That is,
for example, if You have an English-German vocabulary You can categorize
English words in a parts of speech and then invoke the trick to categorize German words
automatically (within a seconds).
So how this can be achieved?
- Make sure that You switch on the numeric pad in the right part of a keyboard.
If You already did it then the indicator NUMLOCK must glow.
- Press and hold down the ALT key and then press the '1' key on the numeric pad.
- That's all. ALT key can be released now :-).
Trick No.2. Additional way to switch keyboard layouts
ByHeart has the built-in function to switch keyboard layouts. It helps You to
change a current language without having deal with the standard language switching utility.
- Make sure that You switch on the numeric pad in the right part of a keyboard.
If You already did it then the indicator NUMLOCK must glow.
- Press the '0' key on the numeric pad. The next keyboard layout from the list of
available layouts will be switched on.
